Hot Shop Assistant, Full-Time
Are you an experienced glass blower looking for full-time work in a production glass blowing studio? This opportunity could be for you! We are looking for someone to join the team to assist Nate in the hotshop, coldshop and help with packing and shipping. This assistant would charge the furnace weekly on Fridays.
Our ideal candidate has worked in a production glass blowing studio before and or has equivalent work experience, is confident in the hot shop, is available M-F 7 am-3:30. This person is a self-starter, who anticipates needs and works well with others.
Depending on experience, the compensation starts at $16/hr, we W-2, with a 40-hour work week. We do not currently offer benefits, except a deeply discounted studio rental rate for our assistants, with the studio being available for use on Sundays.
This position would have a year minimum commitment.
The studio is located in Chardon OH.

He is a sought after instructor in the field, having demonstrated across the US at institutions such as the University of Montana, Cleveland Institute of Art, Pittsburgh Glass Center, and Pilchuck School of Glass.

Antonia is a Maker, Mother of 2 & leads Marketing + Sales for Nate Cotterman Glass. Antonia graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics. Antonia brings over 10 years experience in consulting & sales for successful small creative businesses, making & connecting creative people.
Antonia is founder of Olra Creative, consulting artists through encouraging authenticity.
